If you’re already registered to vote, double-check to make sure that all your information is accurate.
If you’re not already registered for the Nov. 7, 2023 General Election, you can register to vote through through Election Day. If you register after the registration deadline, you can cast a provisional ballot.
PHOTO ID: You NO LONGER need a photo ID to vote in Virginia. You will need to show one form of identification, including any government document that shows your name and address, or a bank statement, utility bill, or paycheck. Click here for a full list of acceptable IDs.
When/Where to vote:
ELECTION DAY 2023 is Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Polling places are open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Election Day. Click here to look up your polling place. Anyone in line at 7:00 p.m. will be allowed to vote.
As of July 1, 2020, any Virginia voter may vote absentee in-person or by mail. Absentee ballots are mailed out 45 days before the election. .

February 21, 2023: Special Election for VA District 4
June 20, 2023: Primary Elections, if held
November 7, 2023: Election Day
